Abstract—The presence of puzzles in RPGs is very commonin the history of digital games, being a foundation for thedevelopment of different successful games in the industry. Thispaper presents a study of RPG puzzle archetypes providedby the RPG Maker MV developer community. For this, theidentification of puzzle types, the selection of puzzle-makingtechniques, the implementation and refactoring of puzzle pro-totypes and the extension of evaluated puzzle archetypes wereperformed.Keywords-rpg maker mv
